Poem of the Week

Oh my goodness, it is already Friday,
I need to think of a poem, what can I say.

This week many of our running friends have done a great thing,
So first some praises we will sing.

Chris Twiggs has ordered the new I phone for his son,
I tried to tell him he could adopt me and buy me one.

Stan Lambert is collecting shoes for Soles 4Souls he said in a note,

Dig some up and bring them to him in a big tote.

Kurtis Loftus brought the world’s focus to him and Donna’s Marathon tent,
He surfed his way into the Guinness World Record book with his Marathon Surfing Event.

Miles Powell, has trained and lost lots of weight for Sunday’s HammerHead Olympic Triathlon,
Hope he is faster than the Gators in his swimming pond.

We all remembered the events of 9/11 with sadness and sorrow,
We run for our health and to bring hope for a better tomorrow.

This week the marathon groups will be running the fun Magic Mile,
As always we will cross the line with a big smile.

Getting Started is coming closer to the end of their training class,
This week is fifty minutes of running and I know they will all pass.

Remember to have fun and to shout out to the passing groups as you get fit,
And pass the word around that you are part of the group that is going to FINISH IT!
